Energy Efficiency Rebates & Incentives for maryland
The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is implementing an aggressive and efficiency-forward suit of grants geared toward modernizing Maryland’s grid and expanding capacity generation across the state. In addition to making these projects more affordable, they also help buildings achieve the usage standards set by the state’s Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022. To these ends, these grants fund a variety of measures, including the installation of heat pumps, EV charging equipment, solar, and more.

Prescriptive Program
BG&E Energy Solutions for Business programs are designed to assist BG&E customers with retrofits, equipment replacements, and the purchase of new equipment. All commercial, industrial, government, institutional, and nonprofit customers (rate schedules G, GS, GL, P, and T) in BGE's service territory are eligible to participate, regardless of electricity or gas supplier.

Accounting for between 30 to 60% of a business’s annual electrical cost, inefficient lighting is one of the largest financial liabilities in the energy sphere, especially as energy costs rise. Fortunately, BG&E financial incentives cover up to 50% the cost of replacing lamps or ballasts in existing fixtures, installing new high-efficiency fixtures in new buildings or new construction projects, and upgrades to energy-efficient signing.
Custom Projects
Energy efficiency is rarely one size fits all. Custom incentive applications are available for BG&E customers. These are designed for unique solutions or emerging technologies in the energy-efficient sphere and can cover up to 50% of the total cost of these projects.
